Rachel B’s, Freshmen release “I’m The Boss” marked her fearless journey into taking control of her own life as a singer, songwriter and performer. The album was met with critical acclaim and represented the start of her transition from Jazz and R&B roots to a Pop songwriter with no genre limitations.
Beyond the stage, Rachel is a Berklee College of Music Alum. She has had songs placed on ABC shows, and in various films. She was selected as the recipient of the prestigious Johnny Mercer Songwriting Award and Berklee’s Women’s Composer Award. Her magnetic stage presence led the young starlet to perform at venues across the country including Chicago Symphony Hall, Berklee Performance Center, South Park Amphitheater, Flood City Music Festival and more. She is currently working on her highly anticipated follow up record, that will be released in 2017.

Rachel B, originally from Traverse City, Michigan, studied Classical Voice at Interlochen Arts Academy, but always wanted to bend the notes and break the rules with her own original music. She nurtured her sound at Berklee College of Music before deciding that it was time to get out of the classroom and on to the stage. After moving to Los Angeles, she put together a band of top notch musicians and honed her artistry by performing on stages all over Southern California. When on tour in 2014, Rachel ended up in Pittsburgh and immediately felt a special connection to the city and the people. She decided that it was the perfect place for her to continue growing as an independent artist and relocated there soon after.
